WASHINGTON - One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances,
Until American Muslims categorically and universally condemn these practices, they should and will be treated with suspicion. As we can see, the Muhammad cartoons were not off the mark. It will be a long time (if ever) before Islam will be perceived as a peaceful religion.
