Georgians praying for rain

ATLANTA (AP) – Neighbors are turning in neighbors for violating water restrictions, farmers are jittery about crops and churchgoers are praying for rain as Georgia suffers through one of its worst droughts in decades.

In the face of one of the early effects of climate change, once again we see prayer as the last resort of ignorant desperation. And even as the drought bites, (probably the same people who are praying) still cheat and refuse to conserve water. They've been reduced to informing on each other and having their neighbor's water shut off. Is there any hope for sanity or sustainability? Is there any hope for human cooperation at all?
