Freedom includes being free not to believe

Freedom includes being free not to believe

I see no need to attempt to rob other individuals of their beliefs, so long as their beliefs do not rob me of my freedom. We will not soon understand each other or our personal beliefs; but we can resolve to live in peace. We will likely never sing in one accord; but we can find a satisfying harmony. As an atheist, I find wonder in knowing how extraordinarily lucky I am to even exist; I find peace in solitude and reflection; I find meaning by the goals I set for myself and by achieving them; I find love and comfort in my relationships with others. What I do not find is God. This isn’t a problem for me, and I hope, indeed, it is not one for you either. We’ve got bigger problems to solve.

This is about the best I’ve ever heard it put. There would be no need for atheism if believers didn’t try to foist their beliefs on the rest of us.
