Killer Used Bible for Justification

LundgrenJeffrey Lundgren used the bible to justify slaughtering a family of five in a pit in 1989. Now he is trying to use the laws of man to save his own skin.

Apparently, Lundgren felt the family he killed “wasn’t enthusiastic enough” about his cult. For that, they deserved to die. But now, Lundgren claims his imminent death by lethal injection would be cruel and unusual punishment. He has joined a lawsuit filed by five other Ohio inmates to stop what they call the “pain and suffering” of the procedure.

The laws of God dictate no mercy to unbelievers. But now, a believer has to rely on the state to grant him the same mercy he denied to others. Put another way: Which law is more just? The one which metes out arbitrary death to innocents? Or the one which protects the rights of all, even cold-blooded killers.

Secular law based is what stops religious people from stoning adulterers to death.

Religious laws lean towards the barbaric and the inhumane.
